The last time the Senate met on Christmas Eve, it was for the purpose of authorizing $3.6 billion of military and economic aid at the request of President Lyndon Johnson..Senate is working hard since the Obama administration has come into power with 7 Saturday sessions since the inauguration? Why?

The G.W. administration only had 9 over the course of 8 years which we all know covered the worst terrorist attack on the US population in American History and of course armed conflict in Iraq, Afghanistan and around the world!
