Change has come!

Observations on the President's Early Days:

1. Offended the Queen of England .

2. Bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia .

3. Praised the Marxist Daniel Ortega.

4. Kissed Hugo Chavez on the cheek.

5. Endorsed the Socialist Evo Morales of Bolivia .

6. Announced we would meet with Iranians with no pre-conditions.

7. Gave away billions to AIG also without pre-conditions.

8. Expanded the bailouts.

9. Insulted everyone who has ever loved a Special Olympian.

10. Doubled our national debt/quadrupled spending.

11. Announced a termination of the space defense system the day after the North Koreans launched an ICBM.

12. Despite the urgings of his own CIA director and the prior 4 CIA directors, released information on intelligence gathering.

13. Accepted without public comment the fact that five of his cabinet members cheated on their taxes and two others withdrew after they couldn't take the heat.

14. Appointed a Homeland Security Chief who quickly identified as "dangers to the nation", groups including veterans of the military, and opponents to abortion on demand....and who ordered that the word "terrorism" no longer be used but instead referred to such acts as "man made disasters".

15. Circled the globe so he could openly apologize for America 's greatness.

16. Told the Mexican President that the violence in their country was because of us.

17. Politicized the census by moving it into the White House from its Department of Commerce origins.

18. Appointed as Attorney General the man who orchestrated the forced removal and expulsion (from America to Cuba) of a nine-year old whose mother died trying to bring him to a life of freedom in the United States.

19. Salutes as heroes three Navy SEALS who took down three terrorists who threatened one American life... and the next day announces members of the Bush administration will likely stand trial for "torturing" a terrorist who had played a part in killing 3000 Americans by pouring water up their nose.

20. Air Force One over New York City .

21. Sent his National Defense Adviser to Europe to assure Europe that the US will no longer treat Israel in a special manner and they might be on their own with the Muslims.

22. Began the process of nationalizing the Auto Industry and the Insurance industry.

23. Announced that for intents and purposes the Health Insurance Industry will be nationalized.

And he thinks he’ll be re-elected???? And you know what … he probably will because “our liberal press loves him"

Soldier balks at deploying; says Obama is not president

Now this is interesting and stirs the pot a little?? All B. Hussain Obama has to do is produce a real, valid certificate of live birth and all of the "speculation" will go away!

So will this be labled a Hate Crime

From Ohio.com
Akron police investigate teen mob attack on family

By Phil Trexler
Beacon Journal staff writer

Akron police say they aren't ready to call it a hate crime or a gang initiation.

But to Marty Marshall, his wife and two kids, it seems pretty clear.

It came after a family night of celebrating America and freedom with a fireworks show at Firestone Stadium. Marshall, his family and two friends were gathered outside a friend's home in South Akron.

Out of nowhere, the six were attacked by dozens of teenage boys, who shouted ''This is our world'' and ''This is a black world'' as they confronted Marshall and his family.

The Marshalls, who are white, say the crowd of teens who attacked them and two friends June 27 on Girard Street numbered close to 50. The teens were all black.

''This was almost like being a terrorist act,'' Marshall said. ''And we allow this to go on in our neighborhoods?''

They said it started when one teen, without any words or warning, blindsided and assaulted Marshall's friend as he stood outside with the others.

When Marshall, 39, jumped in, he found himself being attacked by the growing group of teens.

His daughter, Rachel, 15, who weighs about 90 pounds, tried to come to his rescue. The teens pushed her to the ground.

His wife, Yvonne, pushed their son, Donald, 14, into bushes to keep him protected.

''My thing is,'' Marshall said, ''I didn't want this, but I was in fear for my wife, my kids and my friends. I felt I had to stay out there to protect them, because those guys were just jumping, swinging fists and everything.

''I'm lucky. They didn't break my ribs or bruise my ribs. I thank God, they concentrated on my thick head because I do have one. They were trying to take my head off my spine, basically.''

After several minutes of punches and kicks, the attack ended and the group ran off. The Marshalls' two adult male friends were not seriously hurt.

''I don't think I thought at that moment when I tried to jump in,'' Rachel Marshall said. ''But when I was laying on the ground, I was just scared.''

Marshall was the most seriously injured. He suffered a concussion and multiple bruises to his head and eye. He said he spent five nights in the critical care unit at Akron General Medical Center.

The construction worker said he now fears for his family's safety, and the thousands of dollars in medical bills he faces without insurance.

''I knew I was going to get beat, but not as bad as I did,'' Marshall said. ''But I did it to protect my family. I didn't have a choice. There was no need for this. We should be all getting along. But to me, it seems to be racist.''

Akron police are investigating. Right now, the case is not being classified as a racial hate crime. There were no other reports of victims assaulted by the group that night.

The department's gang unit is involved in the investigation, police said.

''We don't know if it's a known gang, or just a group of kids,'' police Lt. Rick Edwards said.

The Marshalls say they fear retaliation at home or when they go outside. They are considering arming themselves, but they're concerned about the possible problems that come with guns.

For now, they are hoping police can bring them suspects. They believe they can identify several of the attackers.

''This makes you think about your freedom,'' Marshall said. ''In all reality, where is your freedom when you have this going on?''

The "Music Box"

Ok, so we, Doug, Harry and I went to a new place for lunch. New to me, old school for Harry and moderately new for Doug. The Music Box on the corner of Hampton and Terminal. So it is sort of a dive bar however the burger special was decent, the fries were hot and on tap was Shocktop! The bar tender had a sense of humor on the same level as the customers, Doug Harry and I, so the lunch was full of laughs and crude humor. I would have had a shot of whiskey to wash down my yearning for a cold beer to augment my burger however this was not to happen... It should have though...

A+ for dive bar atmosphere, very manly
B- / C+ for food
A+ for service
Overall B

No open carry...

Major Chris Galloway

Second Lieutenants: Sean Merges, Nutz, Chris Galloway, Nguyen Tho (1996)

Life throws stuff at us just to keep things interesting. ...

I recently learned that an ROTC classmate of mine committed suicide shortly after returning from a deployment in Iraq. Chris and I were in different academic programs and aside from ROTC we did not socialize much. However we did commission together and served proudly in our respective branches of the Army. Chris branched Armor, fitting as how he was a little hard headed, from what I have heard, he fit right into that community.
Chris, you took a short cut to all the answers...you will be missed!

Why ammo is in short supply

In addition to the surge in civilian stock piling......

...the military is trying to maximize production at its sole remaining small caliber plant in Lake City, MO. In 2000, Lake City delivered 350 million rounds a year; it now produces 1.2 billion rounds annually, and is aiming for 1.5 billion by consolidating infrastructure, standing up mothballed equipment, modernizing wherever possible without shutdowns, and hiring new shifts.

Defend and Declare

Crackerz, CC and I went to the South Hampton Roads/ Chesapeake Tea Party this afternoon. I was happy to have participated. I, as was Crackerz, was a little disappointed with the turn out. However I am sure that as the event lasted several hours, people came and went. On the bright side, I think it was a success and it was one of the safest places in all of Hampton Roads. Not only was I exercising my second amendment rights, so were several others that were visible. At least we did not have the Political Police with batons and tear gas dispursing the crowd. Oh that is right, we don't live in Iran!

God Bless America
