Save Bay Oaks Park?

The bigger question with respect to the Bay Oaks Park saga in Ocean View is the increased tax revinew for the city of Norfolk. The planners want to squeeze in 85 homes on 21 acres of land. Figure the price tag on each new home is around $400,000 about the average going rate now in Ocean View. The Annual tax payable to the city would be roughly $4000. Now multply that by 85 homes. About $340,000 in annual taxes. What would that get the city of Norfolk and more importantly the Ocean View area? The paving of Ocean View Ave, underground utilities, more police officers, a pay raise for the city council?

Although I am a land owner in the City of Norfolk, I am unable to vote and sign the petition to save Bay Oaks, however Crackerz signed the petition and does vote regularly for Norfolk issues so beware!
